Coincidentally I had a funny occurrence in heroic strat a few nights before and made some screenies of the recount on Mal’ganis where my Devilsaur Daisy actually out-damaged all other dps.     I’ve seen my cat dangerously close to my DPS and thought I was struggling, so this is bice to see.

    :) Cheers mate I play a devilsaur and boy I love him, always scared about my dps going over my his, but yet he holds aggro, and Im asking why dont tanking pets have HOTP or lick your wouds, any way cheers mate

    (BRK can you tell me how to get an icon for when I post, would be of great to know, (something to do with blogger but more info would be great.))

    I really want to bring my Devilsaur out for instances, but its size worries me. Between 3 stacks of Monstrous Bite and BW, it gets really big and I get the feeling that its going to pull mobs or get destroyed by every aoe.

    it’s something I worry about too with my devilsaur… seing it’s size it’s attack range is pretty large too and a pet always tries to attack from behind, with devilsaurs this is quite the distance. But it seems pets don’t los or range pull very quickly anymore, Daisy my devilsaur sometimes only stand 10-15 yards off the next group but doesn’t pull.

    Its all about there so called ‘mob box’ its like when you try looting a huge mob, but it has a tiny box, its why your devilsaurs wont pull mobs, but I would try avoiding this but thats why so, keep up BW at all times and just let him squashamosh all those mobs.

    So is it safe to bring the Devilsaur back out? It’s not pulling mobs and getting owned by AoE due to its size?

    It wont get owned by AOE im sure, just remember, hes big on the outside and a small ‘mob box’ on the Inside. So get that Devilsaur out and just go get your epics and stuff.

    Technically, the devilsaur was first in damage done, but third in DPS.

    So MQoSDDPS is a little misleading! ;P

    BTW people I have set up my new blog called ‘Devilsaur Madness’ Would like somefeed back on my comments and soz BRK advertising here hope you don’t mind would like to know all your thoughts and ways in which I can improve, cheers BRK you rock, oh Devilsaurs are the main topic.

    well the point of Sustained dps is keeping your dps up longer then someone else so the point of sustained dps isn’t getting more damage per second but just gettin more damage in, with the time you are allowed

    Yes…Recount, by default, calculates DPS based on the last 10 seconds of combat…in in that final punch a couple other classes blew their last CDs to jump ahead in DPS, but overall damage the Devilsaur did more because he could sustain his DPS for the whole fight without blowing the CDs at the end of the fight.

    I feel I’m missing something again.

    It feels almost like a sound.

    maybe rhyming with “mob blast” but playable in my iTunes.

    Our damage is very high compared to other classes, we may have a nerf coming….

    My cat typically pulls around 2000dps on average…. spec is 50/21/0(6 bestial wraths in 5 minutes). He was #7 in overall damage on Patchwerk tonight, heh…

    @ the Elitist Jerk above me:

    I was checking out some WWS reports and found a hunter who did 6400+ DPS on Patchwerk where a 50/21/0 hunter’s cat pet did 47% of the damage and he did the other 53%. That’s not a huge difference and if a player puts the 51st point in the BM tree, they will get even more damage from their pet.

    Not out DPSing your ferocity pet is not a surprise, not out DPSing your gorilladin on an AOE fight is not outrageous either. If you may think you’re an Elitist Jerk, but I think you may just be the later.

    If you are going to criticize like a jerk, at least prove the Elitist part. And oh yeah, here’s your friendly link to DIAF IMHO.

    In DTK heroic first boss i did 1448dps with my devilsaur. And he didnt have a shammy who coud to blood lust on the boss devilsaur pewpew. and my self i did 1675dps. I had like same gear as BRK
