This is the chest piece we got from heroic Nexus, and one of the reasons we chose Wyrmrest Accord over Argent Crusade and their purple chest. This is a really nice hunk of hunter-loot, and we really wanted a red drake, so there ya go.

This is the 25 Emblem of Heroism necklace that someone mentioned in the previous post’s comments. Yes, we’ve got one; it was the first piece of EoH-gear we obtained. Purple-200s are ridiculously stunning, aren’t they?

We’re fully outfitted in level-187 or higher gear now; we don’t anticipate more upgrades anytime soon. Expect more reader-mail, more posts… and as Elune as our witness, a podcast soon.

    Not a bad chest. Totally worth it with your hit rating being as good as it is. No reason to dump more into it and you can get some crit love back.

    Hey BRK! I got a quick question. When you were 80 and had a pet that was 75, what and were did you find was the easiest place to grind him to 80. Also using a cat as a pet. Thanks in advance!

    Just bring him/her along everywhere dailys, dungeouns, heroics or whatever will go fast and not as boring as grinding unless you skin then sholazar would be a good place i guess just run around and skin things while leveling your pet.

    Skinning in Scholazar is great.

    Also, farming Elementals for Crystallized X. Ledge in Scholazar by the ocean. Also wintergrasp after a PVP win.

    Skinners – also Nerubian Chitin in Zul’drak; and dragonkin in Crystalsong for icy scales.

    Hey BRK! I got a quick question. When you were 80 and had a pet that was 75, what and were did you find was the easiest place to grind him to 80.

    Sholazar, foshizzle. Mobs are densely packed, more so than anywhere else. If you’re not a skinner, bring one with you and ask for 1/2 the profits of the skinning sales. Arctic Furs are going for 50 gold a pop on Drenden.

(And the sidebars are where the comment field should be…) But anyway, that is a royal suckfest bout Mrs BRK’s job, biased or not it doesn’t make any sense they’d fire someone who seems to be making them a lot of money.

    Yay that was my comment that asked about the necklace.

    Sholazar seems to be the perfect place to grind up pets if you’re a skinner, miner, or herbalist. Instances are also a very good place to level up a pet as well, especially the level 80 dungeons and heroics.

    Im hit capped at 80 having run Nexus once and no other instances in Northrend yet, can I get a /lfg ?

    No comment field available for Mrs BRK, but that totally sucks!!!

    I know the feeling of doing well in sales and getting the shaft anyway…

    I noticed going over the loot table from heroic drops that in many cases one instance will drop a piece with crit and another with very similar stats of the same armor piece will have hit. This should make it very easy to keep our hit/crit rating where we want it as we replace gear from badges, rep, and raids. Now if only we could swap haste for crit or hit on T7 gear :)

    I noticed the same thing. In my zeal to get hit-capped, I went for all the hit pieces, and now I’m drowning in +hit. >.<

    I was a bit afraid of how much hit Hunters would need at 80… that fear was completely unfounded. Took me two weeks to get to the hit cap with just 2/3 Focused Aim.

    brk, I have a question. I notice your obsession with really expensive things. Baby mammoth, nesingwary gun, and now a drake. I know this is off-hunter topic, but where do you get the gold for this? Thanks =p

    BRK, Hunter hit cap = 8% maybe.

    I tested it, and I’m either super lucky or the cap really is 8%.
