Molten Core Raid Leader: “Loot the core hound! Loot it! We’re not going anywhere until someone loots that thing!”

“OH YEAH!?!” bellows the Core Hound, “Loot THIS!” and then he tears your raid a new one. Now you can harness that bad-@ss, Core Hound, power in a genuine BRK Hunter-Pet TeeShirt!

We’ve got international shipping all worked out.

We’ve got the original Gorilladin and the Northrend Bowling Team available if you missed them.

Short sleeve and long, Medium to XXXL.

Hopefully our cart-system won’t self-destruct. /crosses fingers

Note on the cart-system: it’s supposed to open a new window when you click on Add To Cart, but sometimes it doesn’t. If it doesn’t open a new window, and you want to order more than one shirt, don’t click the “Continue Shopping” button. Just hit the “go back one page” browser button; your cart will be stored and you won’t lose anything.

Any chance for a red skin for those who love (or hate, depends if you were a skinner in MC) the red core puppies?

  2. Graimerin on December 20th, 2008 11:43 am

Thank you very much for bringing back the gorilladin T-shirts. Circumstance caused me to miss the first order opportunity. Happy holidays to you and yours.

  3. Dalaila on December 20th, 2008 12:05 pm

Man you REALLY need to craft a Loque’nahak shirt. It would be simply awesome, do that ;)

  4. BRK on December 20th, 2008 12:08 pm

Any chance for a red skin

The problem with Core Hound was that there are three unique skins: red, green, and white. Due to the limitations of manufacturing, we could only afford to have one shirt done. Green on Black looked the best. In the future, we may try to get another Core Hound skin made, but the demands for other pets may take priority.

    Spirit Beast, for example.

  5. Dalaila on December 20th, 2008 12:11 pm

I’m sure you know Mania’s Arcania. They’re selling some tuff (shirts, caps, mugs, …) with Loque’nahak. Unfortunately, they used a model that really does not match the REAL Loque. Good colors, bad final effect. Have a look: http://www.cafepress.com/maniasarcania.339622854

What is the difference between “SS” and “LS” ? Also, are the shirts of a thin or a thick material? I always go for the heavy material shirts myself..

This shirt, btw, is “Teh Awesome”.

  8. BRK on December 20th, 2008 12:19 pm

What is the difference between “SS” and “LS” ?

    SS = Short Sleeve
    LS = Long Sleeve

are the shirts of a thin or a thick material?

Thick. If anybody has purchased a shirt in the past, we’d love their opinion on the quality of the product.

  9. Dalaila on December 20th, 2008 12:21 pm

I’d like to know what kind of technique do they use to print images on cloths: can you “touch” the draw, as a kind of rubber-thing… or is it a flat image made with ink (sort of)? I always fear the washing machine for printed stuff.

International Hunters everywhere thank you! Gorilladin FTW!

  15. ghostkid on December 20th, 2008 1:20 pm

I just ordered my Core Hound shirt while wearing my Gorilladin shirt.

I have both of the prior shirts, and am quite pleased with both.

The images are silk-screened onto the fabric. All of the current BRK shirts I own have survived a few washings without any fading of the fabric or image.

The thickness of the cotton was brought up in a prior comment: The cotton is thicker than any promotional T-Shirt I have ever been given, but not as thick as a designer-style T-Shitd. The tag reads ‘Gildan Heavy Cotton.’

When I received my shirts in the mail I was surprised at how nice a product I got for the money. BRK is charging a more-than-fair price for these things.

Drop $15 or $20 on yourself for the holidays. You deserve it.

  16. Dalaila on December 20th, 2008 1:33 pm

As soon as SpiritBeast Shirt hits the shelves… I’ll be there!

  17. Alco on December 20th, 2008 1:38 pm

I would like to thank you for caring about the hunters, who may be of larger carriage, sigh

  18. shibumi on December 20th, 2008 1:40 pm

woot! thanks BRK – got my order in fast as i could.

  19. Yari on December 20th, 2008 2:11 pm

Okay, I started playing in TBC, and so I don’t get MC jokes. What’s the story of the “loot the corehound” joke?

  20. kunukia on December 20th, 2008 2:20 pm

The last shirts shipped right, the Gorilladin? I never got my freebie. :( Oh, well.

This is nice, but now that I have teh Spirit Beast, I am waiting on that shirt. Woo!

  21. Sass on December 20th, 2008 3:28 pm

That is awesome! We screamed “LOOT THE DOGS!!!” so much back in the day, you could hear one of our mage’s 3 year old scream it over vent in the background on occasion.

  22. The Less-Than-Usual Elitist Jerk on December 20th, 2008 3:50 pm

    @ Yari

    The combination of the following:
    1. Core hounds were the only source in game for Core Leather.
    2. 40 people in one instance, 25 of which are AFK, watching TV or fapping.
    3. No one knew for sure to whom the loot is assigned to.
    4. Very good items made with core leather.

    So…

  23. Athzar on December 20th, 2008 3:58 pm

Hot damn that’s a sexy shirt. I wish it was red for classy Core Hound, but I read your comment and you’re right; green on black is a much nicer look overall.

BOUGHT. Thanks a ton BRK, thanks for all the fun and information!

  24. Athzar on December 20th, 2008 4:24 pm

Umm, one problem; I had to order through Paypal & my bank, which’ll take 6-8 days to process the payment. By open “through” Christmas Eve, does that mean on December 24th I can’t buy it anymore? Because I’d kill for a core hound shirt, but I don’t want to accidentally order two incase the payment doesn’t go through.

So does through Christmas Eve mean on Christmas Eve if payment hasn’t gone through I’m boned?

  25. Big Bear Butt Blogger » BBB on the BRK Podcast (and Hunter loot) on December 20th, 2008 4:35 pm

[...] BRK had shown me pictures of his new Core Hound BRK Hunter t-shirt when we were warming up for the podcast, he’s been teasing me about it in emails ALL [...]

  26. Nefernet on December 20th, 2008 5:53 pm

That one is really cool ! (but I really dislike core hound as a pet… :p ) Very geek…
    XD

  27. Valadimire on December 20th, 2008 6:24 pm

Agreed, the second a spirit beast shirt is made, I’m there!

  28. Brian J. on December 20th, 2008 6:46 pm

Hey BRK, have you ever given thought to a shirt featuring your “MQoSRDPS” catch-phrase? I just might be tempted by that ;)

  29. Kim on December 20th, 2008 6:57 pm

Yes, this is very nice BRK, but make a LazerKitteh shirt and I am all over it! :)

  30. Rithordus on December 20th, 2008 7:48 pm

Next pay cheque, I am so dropping down money for this. I love Core Hounds so much.

I’d much rather them have a more offensive skill as a pet though…

  31. Marathonian on December 20th, 2008 8:59 pm

I finally saw someone on my server who had an actual MC Core Hound. It looked so good standing by it’s master hanging out near the Great Forge,I still can’t see why anyone would choose any other CH.

In my mind, there will always be only one type of Core Hound, those from Molten Core.

  32. Jolly on December 20th, 2008 10:17 pm

it would be much better if it was the “normal” core hound from MC i think it looks better
    also
    “A + B = C
    2 + 2 = 4
Strawberries + Cheesecake = Strawberry Cheesecake
    Therefore,
    A + 2 = Strawberry Cheesecake

2 Shirts XL Short Sleeve: $29.98
Only available deliver option “International Priority Air”: $38.95

    uhm no thanks :-/

  34. BRK on December 20th, 2008 11:54 pm

Only available deliver option “International Priority Air”: $38.95

Since each shirt weights at least 16 ounces, when we have to ship two shirts international, we have to move from an envelope to a box. The box has a minimum price.

Honestly, we never though people would order 2 and 3 shirts!! We will once again do research and see if we can come up with something better for the next batch, next year.

  35. D on December 21st, 2008 12:38 am

    Order two separately?

  36. Stupid Mage on December 21st, 2008 1:25 am

I’m the only BM Hunter in my guild. Even my friend’s guild has no BM Hunters.

And I don’t have a Core Hound. But dang, that’s a coolass looking shirt.

  44. Róhirrim on December 21st, 2008 12:19 pm

What’s the deal with looting (or not looting?) the core hound anyway?
Apparantly there’s supposed to be some “humour” to this, but it just doesn’t reach out to me…

Please do a Warp Stalker t-shirt instead. “Now you see me — now you don’t.”

  45. Persecuted on December 21st, 2008 3:46 pm

    To the above poster:

The humor behind this joke come from the fact that when people were seriously running MC, there wasn’t a system in place to show who “owned it” like we have today. Usually some lazy spellcaster or healer had looting rights and didnt look for the sparkles that indicates they have looting rights. The reason isn’t for the grey items, it was for the core leather, which many folks needed to get their leather and some mail fire resist gear. It the hound went unlooted the hound would despawn and the leather with it, thus meaning a piece of fire resist for a rogue, hunter or shaman would be unobtainable. It’s funny in hindsight but I was rogue in those days and it really sucked that someone not paying attention cost me more than once a piece of gear earlier rather than later.

  46. Berg on December 22nd, 2008 1:41 am

    @ Abuelo

    Not cool. Bugger off!

  47. Róhirrim on December 22nd, 2008 7:37 am

    @ Persecuted

    Thanks for the explanation. :-)
During my 3 years playing WoW I never reached the stage where I ran MC (BRD and L/BRS was as far as I got). I’ve only played a hunter for ~1½ years, and as a Leatherworker it irritates me when group members don’t loot so we can’t skin.

  48. Asara on December 22nd, 2008 10:11 am

    OMG!
    So so so want!
I’m going to have to bug the hubby for one of these :) My guild never really managed hardcore MC, but we’d still yell loot the core hound in ZG when people wouldn’t loot their bats or tigers. Leatherworking is srs bsns.

    Hey BRK,

I have been a lurker for a while now and I kept missing the t-shirt offers. This time I will be the proud owner of my own gorilladin t-shirt. When will these ship out?

Thanks for making a great hunter blog,
