Last night I was helping a guildie farm up Chitin for the tanking cape us LW can make. I got 3 Arctic Furs to drop during the 30 mins or so it took us to get the Chitin. Nice as I need the fur to buy the Giantwhatever patterns.

It’s more difficult to remember that you are not running with your gorilla, when you are leveling your cat. ooops, too many mobs = dead pet/maybe dead hunter.

Everyone seems to have their own skinning paradise. Mine is a cave where the mobs die in seconds and respawn faster than I could possibly kill.

I’m sure a place where you can simply skin what others have killed would be a bit faster, but I don’t know of a reliable place for that yet. With easy kills, the leather is always there. I’m guessing 2-3 people could farm the spot at once and have the spawns keep up too. It’s silly, but I haven’t even gone all the way in the cave yet. I always stay fairly close to the entrance. If the whole cave is that good, a lot more than 2-3 could farm well.

I got the brown Tickbird Hatchling in my first egg… few days left for #2, still hoping for proto-drake mount! But I won’t be too disappointed if it’s the proto-drake minipet instead. If it’s yolk, I’ll feel sad like I do after turning in the Storm Peaks dailies and getting more cheese instead of a polar bear. Luckily my murloc-burdened Blizzcon bear still brings out a smile like a Tasty Cupcake. Still, having not found Loque’nahak or Krush or the Time-Lost Proto Drake yet, it would be nice to get one of the fun mount drops.

Everyone’s made some great suggestions for the MANY locations for a Skinner’s Paradise. I haven’t unlocked Frostborn dailies, but when someone’s doing them, the Engine of the Makers area is fantastic. Piles of skinnable proto-drakes lying around, and usually groups of rhino corpses from non-skinner cooks, I imagine. The cave north of it as well… and the worm cave in the Valley of the Ancients, as well as the valley itself, and Sholazar. Borean’s got tons of mobs, but they drop scraps as often as not. And T5 set bonus isn’t mandatory at all for BM hunters farmin leather… one Mend Pet during a round-up of 8 gorillas, and Monchichi’s just fine.

I am said Arctic Fur muse, and I am definitely entertaining offers to defect to be someone else’s…since he is not giving in to ordinary blackmail.

In fact, I have used my powers for myself, and the furs have been dropping for me instead. I have his furs, and I am not giving up any more till he tells me…

Well, it might have changed – or they might just drop scraps and I’ve forgotten – but, the last time I checked, the many groups of 5 Rhinos in Borean was good for me.

As I said, though, it might have just been scraps.

Funny the top few things on the list. I happened to pass on the ring from Gal’darah and let 2 guildies roll on it instead, and then got the Green Proto drake the next day from my egg. WoW Karma? =D
