   ACtually, I’m loving the slime. It comes really close to Ghostcrawler’s “Texturized Cube”.

   It’s technically a bug, but I can’t help but think Hydra’s may have been a considered pet at one time since it has its own idle animation. The pets are cool for showing off, but I’m not a huge fan of the Crocolisk ability. It just doesn’t outshine the Gorilla, but then again nothing does.

   I think the main reason a lot of Hunter’s tamed these was for the shock value from other classes. However, at this point, that’s pretty much died down.

   It doesn’t really matter to me either way about the UI. Personally, I like being able to see your set up. But it doesn’t really matter. Was more like a movie without it. So that’s cool.

I did tame a hyrda for awhile but the constant hissing/gurgling sound was driving me bonkers. Instead I swapped it out the Queen Wasp I will call “Britt.” The buzzing I can handle but the gurgling? Ahhhhhhh…

    Different stokes (pets) for different folks. The ooze is hilarious, but I’m not giving up my gorilla!

    I like to see the UI.

    @ Anonymous: Hydras are not a reference to Hydralisks. They are from greek and roman myths.

    I’ve been checking/doing the oracle dailies for a little over a week and not gotten cleansing song yet, had every other quest at least twice, I want to try out the Hydra, heard the sound gets annoying though, but on the plus side they are ready and available at 80 right? I already have 3 pets to level up from 75

    By the way, guys, the hydra and ooze come at level 80… That’s right, no leveling your Hydralisks and Crocoslimes! (Names unmercifully stolen from Mania =D)

    And BRK, I can see why you haven’t done a podcast in awhile… You seemed kinda lost for words at the end there =P

    I have an Ooze and rather like mine. Named him “Snotty”. I don’t very often use tank pets and I have a Gorilladin for serious stuff but with 5 pet slots I grabbed Snotty. He’s interesting and yeah people stop in town all “WTF???” If blizzard does take them away hopefully I’ll be able to keep mine, like those people whom kept their ghost wolves.

    Thing is they show up just fine on the ’start’ page, where you’re picking which toon to play, so I kinda think they were put in on purpose as a sort of hidden treat for lvl 80 hunters.

    ‘Sexymap’ will give you loads of mini map options. two or three make it square. One makes it a diamond and others put different boarders on it. I prefer “Stargate” myself.

    The only thing I hate about the hydra is it does not shut up. I was shocked in your movie where it stayed silent for a few, mine is almost a non stop growl/hiss and is becoming a real big turn off. >.>

    Those are Perl unitframes.

    What I wanna know is what the questlog ui was, it looked like Lightheaded but I haven’t been able to find that anywhere for a long time.

    And its not that I don’t like not seeing the UI in that part of the movie, I just prefer seeing the UI, that’s just personal preference though.

    I rushed to 80 as soon as I heard about the Hydra just so I could tame one–I’m kind of surprised they haven’t been removed yet (maybe with the next patch?). I love mine, her name is Sassy (with the smaller heads being Nibbles and Bits) and though I don’t plan on using her for instances or raiding, she makes a great companion for dailies and fishing. Also, she drives everyone crazy, even worse than a Core Hound. Eventually I will get some emote macros set up for her, I love how the heads snap at each other…

    I got all three of them… named my ooze Achoo, and the hydra Ghidora, to go with my t-rex named Gojira… Now, I need a turtle and a moth…

    Petopia is saying that the 3 spirit crocks (( Transparent crock, hydra, ooze)) are no longer tamable in the PTR,

    She also reports that her previously tamed ones are still summonable and will still eat, so you might be able to keep them, but only if you tame them before the patch lands. Which could be soon. They had an extended down time this week then changed their minds and upped the relms earily… we might get the patch on teus the 13 or more likely the 20th.

    I think that the addon that BRK uses for his Questlog is Doublewide.
    As the name says, it doubles the width of your quest and profession tabs.

    very nice….but, being “crocolisks”, are they regular pets or exotic? lack of UI looks absolutely awesome, but i love to see the awesome damage outputs. doing great BRK, tell Brain I said hi!

    never imagened i’d be able to tame an oozeling (thats secretly a crocolisk).
    i’m gonna try to get it as well.

    I can confirm that as of 3.0.8 you can no longer tame the hydra.
