Toyz R Us
The Logitech G13. Already, we’re impressed. It’s Mac-native with drivers and software just a quick download away.
We can’t describe how cool it looks in person. Just gorgeous.
We’ll do a write up as soon as we can!

I got mine about a week ago. It’s taken some time to get used to it, but it’s mostly been a simple job of unlearning the muscle memory of playing WoW on a WASD setup for the past four years…..
How exactly does it benefit the average WoW player, and in particular, the Hunter?
I was planning on picking one of these up, now it’s confirmed with the brk seal of approval.
grats on the phat hunter loot. i have a g15 i just got yesterday and love it!
Smexy. Wish Belkin would’ve released proper configuration software for the N52/n52te to match (Windows got a spiffy visual mapping tool… Macs a list…)
Still hate that the G11 keyboard is gimped on Mac though…
Please please tell me how the heck you get used to that thing. I bought one, it’s just pretty on my desk now.
You see I just look at that and the first thing that passes though my head is, “not enough keys.” :s
Yeah, definitely not enough keys and I don’t really get the screen on it either…
What? How? What?? … How??
Do you use it in conjunction with a regular keyboard, or in place of one? I’m guessing the joystick is in place of a mouse? Looks interesting!
Maybe you could make a guide on how to set up such a beauty for a Hunter?
Do you people want guides on everything….
Dear Dr. Kitty,
if I may, I’d like to suggest that you do one of those theorycrafting posts regarding BM damage, because from your recent ones it seemed that BM is now only marginally worse than SV, but the numbers on elitist jerks still show it as the weakest in terms of dps, and by a considerable amount.
Also, another interesting question would be if its time to revisit the usefulness question for haste for our spec, because I would think that with Steady Shot giving only 20-25 percent of our overall damage the ‘haste is useless for BM’ declaration wouldn’t hold water anymore. If I happen to be true about this, then its time to find out what our haste-cap would be for our modern day rotations…
With best regards, Visa from Hungary
I’ve had one of these for almost a month now. I use it in conjunction with the mouse. I use the stick for strafing, you can actually click the stick in, which I use to jump, then all the buttons to trigger spells and whatnot. I have a G9 mouse, which I use for mouselook and a couple more buttons (wingclip/raptor and aspect switching)…Once you get used to the mouse/stick combo, it’s amazing. Just using your thumb to strafe and freeing up all your other fingers for everything else is just crazygonuts good.
And once again we left handed people are F’ed over.
Oh well I have to many keybindings set up on my keyboard to start thinking about doing it on something smaller and with less keys.
I’ve been looking out for one of these but they are not available here in Australia yet.
I currently use an old Thrustmaster Tacticalboard which has plent of keys and fairly ergonomic. I’m interested to hear what controlling your character movement with the thumb-stick is like.
For a while I’ve been thinking of making my own MMORPG controller utilising a custom joystick, trackball and buttons/keys. I’ve always hated controlling games with a keyboard, I’m too old school I guess.

BRK,
Have you been moonlighting on us hunters?

I got mine on Sunday. Relearning muscle memory is awful and difficult, but when it clicks, it’s really awesome. I tanked H HoL with it yesterday and it got progressively easier through the instance. Good luck setting it up.
Has this been spotted in stores, or are you folks just ordering from Logitech? I’ve looked in my area (NC) and haven’t seen it anywhere.
Well, if you’re were going to brick your old N52, it’s a damn nice excuse to upgrade.
I’m sticking with my Wolf Warrior pad until I get a new gaming machine, which if Mrs. Gringott has her way, will be never.
I’d been using an N52te (and an N52 before that) when I decided to try out the G13. While there are a couple points I kinda liked better about the N52’s (the dpad and its orientation, the shape of the ‘home’ keys as well as the shape of the palm rest) I have to say the G13 beats it hands down.
Now if only Blizz would fix their WoW applet for it so that it showed the correct number of free bag slots.
I bought one of these recently and its just sitting on my desk as it looks scarey to use and get used to.
Got a G15 keyboard, G9 mouse and the g13 pad!
Resto4Life has a guide on setting up a n52te. Great guide and I would think it could be applied to the G15 as well. http://www.resto4life.com/2008/11/06/the-belkin-nostromo-n52-te/
The G15 looks cool, may have to get one. I have the n52te and it’s awesome, could use more keys though. Takes a couple hours of play to get used to but definitely worth it.
I bought one to use on my Mac as well and just returned it after a week or so of usage. It does some cool stuff (for instance, key repeating, hold the button down and it spams my shot macro), but it falls short in other places.
For one — desktop clutter, but I got over that quickly.
The most disappointing feature of it is the usage of the joystick. I wanted to be able to use that soley for movement, but you just can’t. It’s only a 4 way joystick, so you can’t use it to move diagonally. In addition, it’s in an awkward placement that causes your thumb an unncessary amount of stress.
I am waiting on the Logitech g19 keyboard which is mac supported however. I’ll see how well that works.
Holy…cats! That’s just beautiful!
