Ok, here's something to think about w/regard to using mult-shot in your rotation. If you've specced 3/3 Cobra Strikes , then 60% of your arcane, steady or kill shot crits result in two guaranteed crits for your pets, which in turn proc ferocious inspiration and a chance of frenzy. Multi-Shot doesn't count toward Cobra Strike procs.

So, Cobra Strikes proc gives:
2 pet crits @ double damage
proc or renew of FI
possible proc of frenzy

Given that, are the facts that each use of Multi-Shot costs more mana and is one less opportunity for Cobra Strikes to proc enough to counter-balance the marginal dps gain from Multi-Shot itself?

If your rotation is roughly
Arcane->Multi->Steady->Steady->Arcane->Steady->Steady->Steady (repeat)
Then that multi is using up 12.5% of your opportunities to proc Cobra Strikes.

@Adamantite - Does your pet die consistently on Heigan's one phase or the other (pew-pew phase, or dancing phase)?

If the pet dies during pew-pew phase, talk to your tanks and your cleansers. The tanks might be positioning themselves in the middle of the moving safe zone, which puts Hiegan in the back end of the safe zone, thus putting your pet in the fire. So tank repositioning might help. Additionally, if you do not have points in Improved Mend Pet, you might need some love from the players who can cleanse your pet.

Communication with the other players in your raid is full of win, so share your thoughts with them and see what they think. Even more points if you do that communicating on your guild forums, rather than bogging down the team with pet micro management details during the raid itself.

If the pet dies during dancing phase, I'm not sure what changes to make, other than running just a smidgen faster than you visually think you need to since there's lag between when the fire exists and when it animates on your screen. I've found my survivability increased incredibly when I started running what feels dangerously close to the fire in front of me. I'd assume your pet will have the same benefit.

@Rilgon

At least you get to do that; my mic has been busted for a bit, so I get to watch Sooba croak from the stupid disease while the healers do the dance.

@TEJ My pet dies on Heigan.

Are your healers removing the disease? That's what gets Ayamiss the most is that damned disease (and being MM there's jack-all I can do about it, aside from screech at healers).
