Massive Linkage Time

linkageIt’s been a while since we had a mondo-link post, so let’s review the rules:

  • No guarantee of quality, content, correct spelling, or any entertainment value whatsoever.
  • No refund, returns, store credit, or exchanges.
  • You read it, you’ve read it. You can’t un-read it.
  • Be nice. If you don’t like it, just leave.
  • We probably have linked to a few of these before.
  • We probably forgot to link to some we promised their authors we’d link to.
  • There is nothing more pleasurable to a new blogger than to get a comment. If you find something that you like, leave a comment. Doesn’t have to be a paragraph, but a couple of words from you will make their day.

All that said, the links:

  7. Yeffertone on February 22nd, 2009 1:02 pm

    Resto Druid questions:

    Why do resto trees insist on running in circles and jumping around while they heal?

    Is it true that when assigned to raid healing we will wipe if they stop for a second and heal my pet….when nobody else is taking any raid damage?

  8. Maerdred on February 22nd, 2009 1:12 pm

    Hey BRK,

    Here’s a question for your supreme leafiness:

    I have a new tree druid who is specced for Healing Touch, but has no balance talents other than Genesis. I use Regrowth predominantly, and I’m not sure exactly what the synergy of talents is for HT. She is getting overwritten a lot, so we’re switching her to main tank heals – should I tell her to retalent to pick up Moonglow, Nature’s Majesty and Nature’s Grace? She’s got 2 points in improved Tranq she could give up since she never uses it.

    Any suggestions would be welcome. She’s a great 5-player healer; we’ve just got to fit her smoothly into a 10-player with 3 healer rotation.

    Thanks!

    And thanks BRK!

    BRK you are the man!

  15. Krieghoff on February 22nd, 2009 6:00 pm

    I don’t have a question for the resto druid, but rather for you.
    Is the Cower bug still a bug? Because I’ve found that putting all the abilities I don’t want my pet to use onto their bar and deactivating them keeps them deactivated. All the abilities I don’t mind them using stay activated in the spellbook.

    I bet this is old news by now… >_>

  16. Drazmor on February 22nd, 2009 6:21 pm

    Dammit BRK, just when I thought I had stabilized my reading list, you come along with your linkage love!

  19. Kusamoto on February 22nd, 2009 8:32 pm

    Mad linkage love from BRK FTW! Awesomeness, and great thanks. I will now forever stop referring to hunters as EZ mode in your honor…well, that and I’ve hit a small snag with my hunter alt; namely, at low levels, falling down short flight of stairs can kill you :-(

  20. Tzia on February 22nd, 2009 10:22 pm

    I’ll be honest, I feel a bit dazed. Thank you for the link. I enjoy reading your blog, and I never in a million years expected a link back. So… um… thanks. ^_^

  26. huntereriic on February 23rd, 2009 11:12 am

    Wow thans for the link BRK. I’ve had some great feedback from readers you sent over and this wee scottish dwarven hunter is encouraged to go out spread his style of hunter. Beards, buckshot and bears. :)

    Thanks again.

  27. Nefernet on February 23rd, 2009 12:16 pm

    Omg… My guild website is linked on BRK…

    /faint

    Thanks !!!

  28. Torgall on February 23rd, 2009 4:52 pm

    @ Nassira

    When I first read your reply I was sure that you were already linked on the right. But alas it isn’t so! (Uh… did I just use ‘alas’ in a sentence?!)

    BRK, you’ve got to fix this! ;)

    It’s just like the East Coast/West Coast bias in sports. There are the BM (oh, we were so wronged) and the SV (we got nothing for years and now ES rules so live with it) on one side that get all the publicity (East Coast), then there’s all of us MM hunter’s on the other side (West Coast) that get no media attention. As long as we bring along TSA, keep Serpent Sting up, and fire Chimera every CD, we’re just considered the ‘other’ spec! :p

    PS – Forgot to /beginsarcasm and /endsarcasm for those reading this who are in a less than jovial mood.

  29. Saayu on February 24th, 2009 10:25 am

    May be a little late ^^

    I’d appreciate if anybody could stop by my blog and leave a comment about how I’m doing things. Just started it a few days ago.

    http://saayus-survival-grounds.blogspot.com/

    I never asked BRK to link me because I didn’t know he did such things, so hopefully in the future I’ll see if he can do it for me.

    Appreciate any visits :)

  30. Nassira on February 24th, 2009 12:49 pm

    @Torgall

    LOL It’s okay, I hear BRK is a busy man. ;-) I’ve gotten hits from his site, anyway, and quite a few at that. Much appreciated.

    It’s uber cool that you took 15 minutes out of your day to do this simple post and make the day of so many different blog writters! Kudos to you!!

  32. Ben Fraley on February 24th, 2009 10:03 pm

    Thanks a ton BRK! I was wondering why my traffic spiked, now i know why!

  33. Shianti on February 25th, 2009 4:47 pm

    Ok so, I did answer your druid questions, but BRK has failed to post the answers, so just in case the individuals asking check back, here are my answers:

    @Yeffertone
    tree druids run around and jump while healing so that our roots don’t grow into the ground. :) As for your druid not healing your pet…get a new druid. I always heal hunter pets. Sometimes warlock pets and mage water elementals too!

    @Kulat/Kriyet
    Druids are known for, and specialize in HoT’s. It is indeed possible to spec/glyph to use healing touch for your primary healing spell…but why? If you want to do that sort of healing…roll a priest or paladin. If your guild is running with 3 healers, which, we only run with 2 for 10 mans, then you definitely have two other healers who can heal in that fashion. IMHO, as a druid, he/she should definitely talent into Moonglow, and Nature’s Majesty. I personally don’t use Nature’s Grace, instead, I get the extra time on my HoT’s via Nature’s Splendor. If you are a resto druid, your strength is in your HoT’s and keeping them rolling on your tank during boss fights. During trash, you can use Wild Growth or LB/Rejuvenations to top off the raid. I can’t think of a reason why you would not take advantage of the heal over times that druids specialize in when resto.

    Hope that helps,
    BRK’s supreme tree druid, the kind that heals pets

  34. Mendingtree on March 5th, 2009 10:56 am

    @Yeffertone & Shianti

    Concerning the healing of pets in raid perhaps your Drood is using an addon such as healbot so they can see full raid. If so I sometimes disable viewing pets in 25+raids since if you have alot of DK’s/Hunters/Locks you may get an extra 10 healing bars with those addons and it ends up blocking too much screen or they may not be using any addon and unable to ’see’ your pets. Either way maybe a suggestion may help I give pets love since it’s added dps and quicker fights…but NEVEr will they get heals unless Raid is nearly topped off. :)
