  3. Oripoon on March 1st, 2009 1:35 pm

Haven’t you been reading? His pet is elite.

  4. Anonymous on March 1st, 2009 1:53 pm

so elite pets remain elite now? does this give bonus damage etc.

As for BRKs pet being elite, I would write that off as yet another PTR bug.

I just noticed, when I looked at your gallery along with WoW Insider’s…

The Ironforge Champion shares my RP character’s last name!

    Squeeeeee!

    Nice screenies
Does anyone know if you can champion a horde faction if you have an alliance char? I’d love to get one of those wolves to ride around on :)

  10. Vishkil on March 1st, 2009 6:39 pm

Can only champion your own faction, but you can champion all 5 races. In fact, there is an achievement to champion all 5. Lovely “hunter” stave there, although if u’ve been to Naxx and got staves there it wont benefit you.

The area to the south of the camp is so fun. There’s an area with much darker ground and NPCs around the edges. Peacekeepers are few and far between but if you stay near the middle of this area you can PvP easily. So fun watching Hydradile own that warlock who thought it would be funny to kill alliance quest givers.

Is this for the PvP tournement, or is it a permenant thing thats on all the time?

  12. Vishkil on March 1st, 2009 9:53 pm

It’s not a PvP event, it will be a permanent event. It works like IQD in that the more dailies done on a server the more that unlock. You can buy 1 ground mount per race (you can get all 5 for your faction on same toon), same goes for tabards non-combat pets and banners.

There’s also a new colosseum but won’t be done until closer to 3.2 I heard.

A lot of PvP there even on PvE ptr’s. really fun

So are you BRK back to BM tree?

  14. Lance on March 2nd, 2009 9:32 am

    :)

It’s a lot of fun running around there. The Black Knight quest chain’s still buggy, and the dailies bug out a bit from time to time (on Grand Melee this morning, the first two Valiants I dueled didn’t give Marks of Valor or whatever it was; the next few did, though, with no change in anything I was doing).

If you brave the PTR: the 1st-level horse/hawkstrider is on the south side, in the stables north of the Ring of Champions (along with examples of the tournament racial mounts, which you get to ride–your race’s–at Valiant-level), lance racks are all over.

    Attack Target (bullseye): hit 2
Charge Target (dummy): 3, then 1 immediately after; if you miss the 1, spin around & hit 2. If the baby seal debuff’s still on, the attack will count.
Block Target (dummy): 1, then 4. Only melee will trigger the dummy’s response, and the block action will stun it.

And for the love of Elune, make sure you’re NOT in a raid group waiting for Ulduar to open when you’re doing the dailies, or they won’t count.

Oh, and stacking Block to 3 before engaging another player in mounted combat is a good thing. Letting a flagged enemy player knock you off your mount near an Argent Peacekeeper will get YOU killed by the NPC instead of the aggressor, which is NOT a good thing.

I’m on the PTR’s now and looking mindlessley for this place. Where is it?

  17. Haarits on March 6th, 2009 4:05 am

northeast Icecrown! They changed the mount spells and the targets quite a bit in the last build, in terms of looks mostly.
